A quiet Saturday

We had a lovely quiet day yesterday, just playing with the kids and I did some scrapbooking. It was really relaxing. Dave played Nerf wars with the girls (I decided not to play since last week my hip popped out, and it took a couple of days for it to pop back in). We also walked to the shops and bought Ice-cream and bikkies, and then sat in the park eating our ice-creams. Jas got all the way across the monkey bars for the first - I can only get a couple of rungs across these days!

Eliza ate almost a whole tub of Oreo mini cookies when we got back from the park, and sat down for a good session of playing Star Wars - good to see the girls are into Star Wars (Dad is most pleased):



I had some great fun scrapbooking. This week in Nic's class on Big Picture scrapbooking she challenged us to use our five favourite products - mine are Patterned paper, card stock, glimmermist, florals and bling. She also got us to make 5 cards in 30 minutes:

Mothers Day

I had a lovely day on Mother's day. It started with a coffee in bed, and pressies - the girls got me some new perfume - Lola, including the Shower gel and body lotion. Dave took them to the Perfume connection and they got to pick apparently - in the end they went for the really ornate bottle. Eliza also made me a pressie at Preschool - a door hanging which is proudly hanging on the door knob to our bedroom.

We had a great family day, firstly running around the house playing nerf wars with some nerf guns which Dave bought on the way home from work on Thursday.

After lunch, we went for a glorious walk to the lake, stopping at the park on the way to play. It was such a beautiful day. Once we got to the lake we sat on a seat and ate little bags of smarties which daddy brought along!

I really love Autumn, love the colours - the beautiful autumn leaves and green grass:





I got these lovely pics walking up the path to our place. The temperature had dropped considerably by 4:30pm though.


That night, Dave took both his mother and I to the Jasmine House restaurant for dinner (I drove there of course). It was a lovely meal.

Tickled Pink!

I am a little tickled pink at the moment, my layout for colour challenge #3 at the Color Room got selected for one of the five featured works - mine is right at the top of the page. I'm tickled pink because there are just so many gorgeous layouts that get posted, by some very talented women. The Design Team member Kim Watson selected my layout, which was great, as I have always loved her work.

Other news this week - Jasmin got her eyes retested again - the right eye muscle is now pretty much OK, but the left eye muscle still is not as developed as it should be, and she is favouring her right eye. The eye doctor gave her some special glasses to wear an hour a day, it has led's which light up on the left side, apparently it's meant to stimulate the eye and get her to use the eye more. We'll go back in another 2 months and see how she is doing. She was funny when the doctor said that we had to pay a $300 fee for the glasses, I quote her - "What - we have to pay even more money for another pair of glasses!" I consoled her with the fact that we get the money back when we return the glasses. I think she thought the $300 fee was a bit much!
