The Little Mermaids

The girls went off to watch The Little Mermaid Princess at the local theatre yesterday. They thought it was great. That afternoon they just had to get dressed up in their mermaid outfits - they looked sooooo cute! We picked up the little mermaid costumes from a little shop at the Rocks last year. Good to see them being put to use.





I have managed to get a few double layouts done of late which is great. Managed to fit quite a few photos on a layout, which is great for telling the story of some of the stuff we get up to. All these pics are from last year:






Last night I did this one - it is the assignment for Week 4 of Nic Howard's Dimensional Details course:

A Quiet Weekend

We had the whole weekend at home this weekend. It was very relaxing. I played all day Saturday with the girls, we had a lot of fun playing schools, bouncing on the trampoline, dancing, and we even had a picnic on our back lawn. Dave was at the mall - he decided to catch the bus over, as the parking situation is ridiculous. He went over to buy the new DS XL thingie, and ended up staying to watch a movie with his nephew and our niece-in-law - he watched Kick Ass, which was very entertaining (apparently!)

Sunday we had friends over, so the kids all played and I got to do some scrapbooking.

At the moment the kids play room looks like a bomb hit it! It is going to have a huge clean up once the girls go back to school. At the moment it looks a bit like this:


Would you believe that we still have extra Easter Eggs from Easter - so we did an impromptu easter egg hunt with the girls and their friends:


Here are the recent results of my scrapbooking endeavours.

This one is a picture of love of Jasmin, when she was at her Great Aunty Sue's place in Queensland. I decided I didn't like one of the lace papers I had (too many colours on it), so I flipped it over and used it as a mask to create a background, and then used it under the background for the photograph. I then proceeded to spill my glass of wine on the layout! Lucky the wine missed th photograph!


A flower for Mummy is a picture of Eliza - she has picked a flower for me. Used some new Zva Creative Bling on this one. Lovin the bling at the moment.


Love this picture of the girl and their second cousins, taken at the Royal Easter Show in Sydney recently (we got the same picture taken last year as well). Don't they look cute. Not sure how the photographer got them all to look at the camera at the same time.

My Prince - did this one for a colour challenge at The Color Room. They post regular colour combinations. Some fantastic layouts posted there! I used this photograph of Dave and Eliza to document a conversation I had with Eliza on the weekend.


Eliza's first day of school - created my own background by masking an alphabet and spraying with Glimmermist.

Easter Show

Well we had a very tiring weekend to say the least. It was off to the Easter Show in Sydney for our second time (we went for the very first time ever last year). I'm sure it was even more expensive than last year! Might have something to do with the fact that both girls are big enough to go on all of the kids rides, and at almost $5 a ride, it works out quite expensive. Apart from the rides, they feed the goats and the sheep, checked out the food pavilion (love those fruit and veg displays they always amaze me), ate lots of food (not the healthy kind), got our faces painted, met Scooby and Donkey Kong, bought show bags (Jas has progressed to the next level of bag opting for a Diva bag with earrings and lip gloss as opposed to a toy bag!)and went on even more rides. We went with Les and Julie, as well as our Nephew his wife and our great niece and nephew! We all had a wonderful time!
















I also bought a great bag from the show - it's called a Miche Bag it came with 3 covers and I bought an additional 3 covers as well. You buy the base bag:

and then you can change the covers to suit your outfit - how cool is that! Well, I thought it was anyway! Here are a couple of the covers I got:
