Our Day in Pictures

Had a wonderfully quiet day today - hanging out with the girls.

I managed to finish this layout this morning:

In addition to these two which I finished on Friday Night:


Eliza and I had a great time dancing to some music - she made me dance to about 8 songs, and I had to copy her moves, she's quite the little dancer (and I think I'm getting old - I was feeling a little worn out afterwards).

We made some lovely lemon flavoured cupcakes - a lot of fun, and the girls and Dave licked the beaters and the bowls, especially the one with the icing in it. They turned out rather well I think:


After that both Dave and I played the "Handbag" game with Eliza and Jas (Eliza got the game for Christmas and loves it - she is yet to win, but she is a really good sport about it). Dave won this round:


After lunch we walked down to the lake to feed the ducks and swans and to do some drawings in our sketch pads. The girls did a wonderful job of drawing the swans and ducks:





On the way back home we stopped at one of the parks to play troll bridge and slide on the slide:




Once home we trekked off to the local shop for some groceries for dinner, and an icy-pole. Managed to get the girls bathed and then make dinner which was rather nice I thought, Pork and Fennel meatballs with Olive Tapenade, salad and toasted crusty bread. We then made home-made Tropical Pops using my new Zoku machine afterwards (they were also delicious):


I should also mention that Jasmin got the teacher she wanted this year, and is in a class with her best friend. Eliza had a wonderful first week in Kindy and is also in a class with two friends from pre-school - so she is happy as well, and came home with multiple stamps and stickers for being a good girl.

Well - that's another day done and dusted - I might go and have a Bailey's on ice.

My New Scrap Room

Thought it was probably about time I posted some pictures of my new room - which I've had finished since before Christmas, when the glass shelves for the display cabinets finally arrived. I am as happy as a pig in mud. It's so nice to have my own space - even though I share it with the pool table (which I use to scrapbook on anyway). I am still waiting on a folding cover for the pool table which I can scrap on, and fold up when we want to use the pool table.

I haven't hung any pictures as yet near my desk - so don't mind the empty walls, I'll fix that up soon.
